Muzan Kibutsuji: What Did He Do in 1000 Years?
On a serious note, what the hell did Kibutsuji Muzan actually achieve in a THOUSAND years of being a demon other than just harassing innocent human beings?
His “Grand” Objectives
We all know his only objective was to become this perfect being and reach immortality, right? So he started researching about how to conquer the sun and walk in daylight like it’s some groundbreaking discovery.
But here’s what kills me – another objective of Muzan was to find the Blue Spider Lily, and he NEVER found it! At some point it felt like it was a complete myth for him, that’s how stupidly rare it supposedly is. What really got me thinking is – why can’t this supposedly all-powerful demon king find these flowers when in the Final Selection Arc I literally watched that entire mountain covered by Blue Spider Lilies?!
What baffles me even more is that they say the Blue Spider Lily only appears during daytime, right? So why didn’t this genius just hire some normal human beings to search for it in daylight? I mean, if he just recruited humans to do the legwork, he could have achieved his objective centuries ago!
The Most Obvious Solutions He Ignored
And one more thing that makes absolutely no sense to me. There are demons trapped in wisteria prisons, so why didn’t Muzan bother to investigate why these demons were imprisoned? I mean, how did they even get trapped in the first place? Shouldn’t the demon king know about this stuff?
1000 Years of Absolutely Nothing
From my perspective watching this series, I still don’t understand what he actually achieved in all these centuries, and he has the audacity to flaunt to Ubuyashiki that he lived more than 1000 years without receiving any kind of divine punishment. But among all those years he literally did NOTHING! I mean, he didn’t achieve a single meaningful thing!
The Demon Slayer Corps were also functioning and actively hunting demons for those same 1000 years – what did you do, man? You were supposed to be the strongest, most terrifying demon in existence! What struck me most is that they mentioned in episodes how throughout demon slayer history, they lost countless lives, even Hashiras, but somehow this guy still can’t completely destroy a human organization?
The Only Times He Actually Showed Fear
We know that from all those centuries, the only moment Muzan showed genuine terror was when he faced Yoriichi, the absolute legend of the Demon Slayer Corps. After that embarrassing encounter he went into hiding like a coward, and the second time he was scared was when he sees Tanjiro’s earrings – that’s literally it!
My Honest Opinion About This “Demon King”
Sometimes I honestly feel like Muzan, you were the most pathetically useless demon among all those Upper Moon demons who actually get things done. Maybe I’m exaggerating a bit, but I genuinely mean it! Like in every single season I’ve watched Muzan brutally harassing his own demons for not living up to his impossible expectations when he himself has accomplished absolutely nothing! The irony is just painful to witness.
