“How Did Nezuko Conquer Sunlight When Muzan Couldn’t Do It in 1000 Years?”
The moment when the sun appears during the finale episode of the Swordsmith Arc – everyone, I mean me and my friends who were watching this episode, got so tense! Will this be the end of Nezuko?!
She was starting to burn and Tanjiro got stuck in this impossible position – should he cover his sister or should he protect the swordsmiths? He says to himself that the reason he joined the Demon Slayer Corps was his sister, but then his sister throws him away! But in the end, Nezuko stands in the sunlight like nothing happened. Moments earlier it looked like she was burning!
Everybody wonders what happened to Nezuko – how did she achieve this?! Even Muzan was trying the same thing for a thousand years and she just did it! There was no clear explanation as to why Nezuko can withstand the sunlight, but they mentioned that this was a rare one-in-a-million mutation and her body adapted to sunlight by undergoing a unique transformation.
Something happened in her body just like biological evolution, and this could be a new evolution for demons! That’s why Muzan was so desperate to obtain Nezuko and fulfill his objective to become the perfect being.
Muzan tried all sorts of experiments and ways to conquer the sunlight but he couldn’t, even though he lived more than a thousand years. But Nezuko just stands in the sunlight as we’ve seen in the final episode of the Swordsmith Village Arc!
What I think really happened is this: Nezuko never devoured any human. She lived peacefully without hurting any human and spent most of her time sleeping and being with humans. They mentioned that a new demon would try to devour a human as soon as she awakens as a demon, but instead she tried to protect Tanjiro from Giyu Tomioka and slept for 2 years!
Both Tanjiro and Nezuko have pure hearts – maybe this could be the awakening of her biological adaptation!
